Archivist Biography

 

Krista Taylor, Hon. B.A.

photo by www.imagesbypaulo.comKrista Taylor has been the archivist at the Port Hope Archives since October 2003.  A trained historian specializing in Ontario history, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion and Culture from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo (2000) and a certificate in Museum Management and Curatorship from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough (2004). 

 

Krista is the author of The Canadian Identification and Price Guide to W. J. Hughes Corn Flower Glass (2003) and co-author of East Garafraxa: A History (2006).  She has contributed to other publications, including Antique Showcase Magazine (2000 and 2001) and Corn Flower Creatively Canadian (2001).

 

Krista has been involved with local museums and archives for more than 10 years, as well as volunteering for a number of community initiatives.  Krista has worked at Lang Pioneer Village, the Peterborough Centennial Museum & Archives and the Dufferin County Museum & Archives.
