In June 2003, The GRA received its
first grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to hire a part-time archivist, and
provide additional opportunities for service and outreach to the community. A
second grant was awarded to the Archives in 2005 by
the Ontario Trillium Foundation to assist with the wages of the part-time
archivist. The second grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation has been matched with funding by the Municipality of Port Hope.
The Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Ontario
Ministry of Culture and receives $100 million in government funding each year.
