Local History Books for Sale

 

All of the local history books sold by the Port Hope Archives have been donated for the purpose of resale and fundraising for the Archives.  The books are used and have evidence of use. Written by Peter C. Moffatt, in 1972, Time Was: covers the early history of Anglicanism in the Township and Town, the building of St. John’s Anglican Church in 1822, the building of the “new” St. John’s Anglican on Pine Street, Port Hope and the establishment of St. Mark’s on King Street.

This book was written and published on behalf of the United Counties Centennial Book Committee in Commemoration of the Centennial of Canada Confederation.
